4-AcO-MPT

Age: 22
Weight: 130 lbs
Dosage: 25 mg oral
Setting: My new apartment

T0:00- Dose taken in a capsule along with some stuff to quell the nausea (Bismuth subsalicylate + raw ginger). The chemical had come in a package earlier in the day with a bunch of other goodies and I was eager to sample one of them.

T0:15- Despite my precautions, the first indicator of the coming experience is nausea. I am playing dynasty warriors while I come up.

T0:30- The nausea has transformed into a tightness in my guts, a feeling of queasiness and discomfort and a lot of shaking. This is fairly standard for me as far as psychedelics go however, pretty much all of them do this to me now. Other effects were not really noticeable until-
There is a sudden flash of energy. The trip instantly explodes to life without warning. One moment I was sitting there feeling uncomfortable, the next I am fully immersed in the experience. I have to pause my game and shut off the TV. I am shaking and shivering all over while glistening patterns peek in from the corners of my vision, violently polychrome with the piercing shine of a halogen light. The visuals are sharp and radial, like unfurling rainbow palmettos, spinning and expanding with vibrancy and vigor. The overall feeling is one of stimulation and energy, a colorful electricity crackling through my body. It feels like being caught in a sudden storm, where one moment the sky is clouded with the peaceful premonition and then without warning- impenetrable sheets of rain, gale force winds, searing lightning, and roaring thunder. My teeth are chattering, the physical effects feel particularly acute because I was not slowly immersed into them, rather I was dunked headfirst into their toothy maw. One interesting physical effect to note is random uncomfortable tactile sensations- little shocks and pinpricks and aches all over my body, popping up at random times and in random places. They do not seem to resolve no matter what position my body is in.
Everything feels fluttery- the whipping rhythmic flashes of visuals, the tip taps on my skin, my racing heart, my nervous breath. It’s as though birds are sitting all over me, occasionally taking wing and flying off with pieces of my consciousness in their talons, carrying them to far-flung corners of the world. In addition to the radiating and pulsing and swirling patterns, there are some odd, drifting open eyed visuals, like aimless shadows wandering through my field of vision. With my eyes closed, I feel gentle and safe, the closed eye visuals are mild and hardly noticeable, which perhaps contributes to the feeling of a peaceable sanctuary. Everything seems so dreamy and unreal as the experience tugs at me and zaps me. Time dilation is very noticeable, it feels as if the last 5 minutes have been stretched out over half an hour. It is like a psychedelic vivisection, as I lie on my bed and the substance cuts me open and toys with my nerves.

T1:00- This trip is just very incapacitating. I do not think this is a substance where I could be up and walking around in public. There is a burning nausea and a rippling tension in my muscles. My joints ache and feel like they are being tugged at with taut wires. It feels like being whipped by a fierce wind and repeatedly zapped with a taser, each spark setting off cacophonies of color and wicked spasms through my body. Nevertheless, it is cognitively and emotionally very pleasant. I have been instilled with a powerful and genuine sense of curiosity and insatiable desire to read and learn. My thoughts are flowing harmoniously into one another and building on each other in critical and meaningful ways. There is so much to ponder, so much to know in the world.

T1:30- I am mostly just aimlessly reading things on the internet now, not even things of particular educational value, just wherever my mind takes me- slice of life peeks into the social media profiles of strangers, random banter on forums etc. I just feel like soaking up the immense amount of seemingly mundane information that is available for my viewing pleasure. Everything I read seems more striking and important than it really is, everything tugs at and wears on my emotions more. I still feel sickened and afflicted, but the worst of the bodyload has definitely passed. I certainly feel like I am on the comedown now.

T2:00-Take a gravity bong hit. This kicks things back up, but with less discomfort now. After a brief pause I am plunged deep into the experience again, with pulsing vibrations travelling through my body and the feeling of a yawning void opening around me. The colors and energy that had been reduced to smoldering ember flare up again, a conflagration tearing across my field of vision and zapping me with sensory stimuli again. It is like a bonfire rippling in a cold wind. I feel encased in my head, the closed eye visuals are mild and unremarkable and slightly synesthetic. To a degree I still feel somewhat cold and uncomfortable, but not as much as I did before. I feel good about myself for no real reason, which is a foreign but pleasant feeling. There is a great deal of euphoria and a warm sunny nostalgia. Ideas and thoughts are flowing freely through my head, my chains of thought feel productive and meaningful. However, all ostensibly useful ideas I thought I had devised would eventually be deconstructed and rendered pointless as I came down and returned to rationality.

T3:00- I am mostly down by this point. This trip was short and sweet. I mostly feel the classic psychedelic afterglow with a slight headache. There isn’t as much cognitive or emotional enhancement as other substances grant me but it’s still pleasant and feels profound and meaningful.

T5:00- Almost entirely down now. I go to sleep without any issue after smoking more weed.

Conclusion: This substance is short and sweet. I’m not entirely sure what to make of it. It is like a hit and run, diving into me and quickly fleeing. It is very stimulating and incapacitating, with a lot of jittery energy and body zaps. It is fairly visual and colorful, though not remarkably so. I am curious about how deep it can go, as I feel like there is some potential for it go further, but I’m doubtful as to how far that may be. It is a nice novel substance and an express trip, some of the cognitive effects hint as being useful for meditation and introspection and therapy, but they definitely need to be wrestled out of the stimulating nervous storm that it induces.

3-HO-PCP

Age: 22
Weight: 130 lbs
Dosage: 10 mg intranasal
Setting: My new apartment

T0:00- I cut a line of powder and snort it. This substance is painless, as though I wasn’t snorting anything. No pain, no bitterness, no discomfort even, it was just like breathing air. What an odd premonition of the void to come.

T0:12- The first notes hit, a light and floaty feeling. Even the drip from this substance is manageable. It disperses quickly and doesn’t leave a lasting bitter taste.

T0:24- Feeling so slightly distant and dizzy. My motor skills feel less precise. My extremities and skin are beginning to feel numb, pulses of anesthesia synced with each lull of the gentle rocking of my equilibrium. Standing up, I feel at once very heavy and shorter than I really am, as though I’ve been compacted and made denser. Everything looks like it's very slightly flashing, or it just looks blurry. I can feel the weight of my teeth in my gums and I feel as though the world’s been tilted and I am slowly sliding down the slope.

T0:45- I feel dizzy and faded, but it’s still light. This is definitely a very slow burn. I am numb and heavy and any motion feels like an absurd ordeal, with any movements I make being punctuated and exaggerated. I am experiencing “Alice in Wonderland Syndrome” more than I have with any other substance, in which the perceived size of my body is at odds with its actual size. At times I feel like my limbs are shorter and I have shrunken down into a miniature version of myself on my bed. At other times it feels as though I feel the opposite, cramped and tightly tucked into my little room. The shifts come randomly in no discernible pattern, it’s just different strands and streams of thought competing for attention. It is an odd sensation that does not entirely make sense, but seems to harmoniously accompany a burgeoning sense of confusion. When I close my eyes it is hard to open them again, as though they have locked shut. I find myself falling into trances and periods of stasis, it is like my consciousness is slipping away without me noticing, it feels like I am nodding off.

T1:00- It is beginning to crash down on me, drag me out like a riptide. I feel so distant, distant from my fingers, distant from my body, distant from my mind; Icy pure dissociation. My limbs feel so heavy and my room feels so small.  The distance grows; I have been severed from the world.

T1:20- The intensity of this experience has completely caught me off guard. I am entirely incapacitated, my reality has shattered into a roaring waterfall of dissociation that pounds me into swirling icy waters. I am quietly occupying space in my room, things are happening around me, but I cannot discern or comprehend what they are. I am so cold and I feel a crushing pressure around me, as though I am deep underwater. It feels like I am sinking, suffocating, drowning. The feeling starts in my mouth, in the weight in my skull and in my teeth, and it slowly drags down like cascades of tar, the weight pulling my shoulders down to crumple into the rest of my body. There are great cavities opening up in my mind, voids that the ambient pressure of my thoughts rush to fill, and soon these cavities scream open into soaring landscapes, towering monoliths and languid vistas stretched beyond the scope of my vision. I am shivering a great deal, I am so cold yet so warm.

T1:30- I can feel the weight of my brain in my head, it is like someone has installed a brick in my skull. My entire body has gone numb and I can hardly recognize my limbs as my own when I see them move in front of me. My fingers are so skeletal and alien, surely these odd appendages cannot belong to me? The world is doused in a dreamy haze and my mind is being eroded while my body is being blown away by relentless screaming gusts, wailing into eternity, yet drowned and subdued. The trip thus far has felt like I am climbing steadily uphill against some rushing antagonistic force like a mudslide. All my clothes feel rough and stiff on my body.

T2:00- I decide to take a big hit of weed from my gravity bong, despite how intense this experience already is. I figured I might as well cap it off. The weight in my teeth sets in deeper and deeper as I am sucked into the hole. It is as if the world has been pulled out from under me like a carpet, and suddenly, there I am, in the void, a void with a distinct and powerful gravity that is sucking me towards its center. I am sinking and being pulled down and folded over and tucked in, with metal bars spanning my thoughts and keeping me in place. Towering temples are caressing my existence with iridescent beams and trusses, adorned with glowing oozing gardens. The entire feeling is that of oozing, drooping, leaking, suffocating under a fluid weight. It feels like I am drowning in flower petals and being hit with a train simultaneously. My memory and consciousness and sense of linear existence have been betrayed into ephemerality- every breath I takes feels like waking up from a long nap; I exhale and fall back into the infinite endless hole; I inhale and I am back. It’s jarring and disorienting, unsettling and dizzying. Large looming patterns and large shapes splatter and scatter my mind, aerosolized into a phosphorescent mist. I am a statue, held still at odd angles at the mercy of gravity, my skull is throbbing and lurking and pulsing, it feels like my head is being smeared. I feel so smothered and enveloped, so blurry and blank and fuzzy, as if my entire existence is lo-fidelity. Everything I can see with my open eyes looks washed out, overexposed, and faded. I haven’t moved or stood up for a good bit now, my jaw can only hang open, I can only be numb. I am incapacitated beyond words.

2:30- I am still so forcefully numb and I feel like I am fading in and out of consciousness, or like I am fading in and out of a state where my memories are recording. I am slowly crawling out of the intensity of the hole and back into myself, but it is barely noticeable at this point, just like the long, slow, subtle comeup. All signs point to me weathering this storm for a good bit. This feeling of abandoning my body and casting myself to the turbulence of the roiling tempest is cathartic almost. It feels like toxins are being centrifuged from my body. There are crisscross patterns across the ceiling of my mind, gazing at my swirling madness.

T3:00- The experience is slipping away, but it still maintains a strong and very imposing presence. I am still heavily dissociated, but it lacks the elaborate color and sensation of before, it’s just been a long desert of half-conscious, lazy nodded-out dissociation. I have not stood up for almost an hour at this point.

T3:30- I finally stand up, it feels like waking from a long nap. I stumble to the bathroom, I feel much shorter than I really am, or like the ceiling is stretching high above me. I am stumbling like  a drunk, or like I am on a boat that is being tossed about on rolling waves. I don’t feel particularly stimulated, and I don’t feel particularly sedated either. I find myself getting locked into whatever state I’m currently in- this substance seems to be intent on maintaining a sort of homeostasis.

T5:00- I am more conscious and functional now. The experience is a residual dissociation in my limbs- numbness at the tip of my fingers and across all of my skin, and a considerable loss of equilibrium, balance and fine motor skills. I feel more alert than before, but am also content to let myself fade in and out.

T7:00- I go to sleep. I am still feeling dissociated but manage to fall asleep without any trouble.

Conclusion: Unlike every other exclusively 3-substituted arylcyclohexamine I’ve tried, (3-HO-PCE, 3-MeO-PCE, 3-MeO-PCP), this was not functional or stimulating in the least. It was a powerful, all encompassing, annihilating experience that thrashed me about like a raft in a hurricane. I was wholly incapacitated and smothered with sheer dissociative intensity, a thrashing morass of all-consuming colors and forms. There were several things that stood out to me- First was the duration- the comeup was over an hour long, I am so so glad I didn’t attempt to redose. At ~10 mg, this is an extremely potent substance. Secondly was the recurring feeling of entirely fading in and out of consciousness, a sort of nodding. While many dissociatives lend this effect with respect to dipping in and out of the hole, this felt more like falling asleep or simply blacking out for brief islands of time. This could be troublesome in the wrong setting. Lastly was a persistent feeling of pressure, of being compressed, smothered, and impressed on at all sides. It was suffocating, though I knew I wasn’t actually in any danger the whole time. It was very reminiscent of mixing 3-MeO-PCP and 3-MeO-PCE in the sense that it was an overwhelming and relentless dissociative storm, but it lacked the stimulation and mania. It was an esoteric removal from reality.

2C-D (Intranasal)

Age: 22
Weight: 130 lbs
Dosage: 20 mg Intranasal
Setting: My new apartment

T0:00- I cut out 20 mg of powder and prepare to insufflate it. I have about two hours to myself before some friends come over. Upon dosing, the pain is instant and exceptional. It burns the exact split second it touches the inside of my nose and sears my flesh the whole way up, like having a white hot rocket shoot up into my sinuses. It hits the back of my throat and instantly triggers coughing, shattering me with an itching discomfort. Tears stream of my eyes and the pain sets in. What caught me off guard was just how instant it was. 2C-B gives you a split second to think about what you’ve done before exploding into a cacophony of pain. 2C-C is heftier burn, like a bonfire, virtue of the sheer quantity of it that needs to be insufflated. 2C-I is more a slow burn, a smoldering ember gradually and slowly setting in. But this, this was as quick as could be, instant, unrelenting, unforgiving pain.
To my relief, the pain eventually gives away to a throbbing numbness. Perhaps this is the maximum capacity for pain without any tangible physical source that my body has. I am content with that. The inside of my nose still feels dry and scorched, reduced to burnished ash.

T0:05- The drip comes along now. I shudder with each bitter spear it traces down the back of my throat, each drop triggering a shuddering nausea. There is a pulsing, bubbling, rising sense of queasiness and filthy sickness starting in my feet and the pit of my stomach and radiating upwards. I feel swirly, like I am viewing the world through twisting heat waves, though I am not sure if this is from the drug or if this is simply a reaction to the intense pain still shooting through me.

T0:08- There is a deep sickness in my guts. I want to vomit but the feeling is manageable so long as I lie on my back. Any movement dares to disturb this equilibrium. The fire in my nose still rages and my throat is sore from the drip. There are ripples and waves at the corners of my vision with patterns forming into pointed arches and domes in any blank spaces I gaze upon.

T0:20- I smoked some weed and washed my face out with saline solution. I am feeling substantially better. The pain has subsided for the most part. However, I still feel fairly sniffly and uncomfortable, the twisting nausea has not yet passed and I am shivering and shaking a good bit, with deep chills running the length of my flesh. The sensory aspect of the trip has been developing more and more. The visuals now consist of large forms, not arranged in any consistent overall pattern, but rather forming an organic sort of landscape. They give the illusion of a receding depth of field and are adorned with intricate designs, more fractal and algorithmic than the forms that contain them. Delicate radial traceries adorn the infinite geometric fields that are embossed onto my vision, iridescent colors flashing at their borders like an ornate relief catching prismatic sunlight. The patterns blossom like plants, larger veins fractalizing into more intricate capillaries. My thoughts are scattered and stimulated, I find it hard to focus on any one thing and am constantly jumping between tasks (the tasks being browsing various pages on the internet and taking notes mostly).

T0:30- The trip has picked up substantially. Frilly fractals are forming at the fringes of anything that appears contrasted in my field of vision, especially the stark black and white of letters on my laptop screen- this makes reading fairly difficult. There are not really any worthwhile close eye visuals. Mentally I am mostly lucid, there is none of the extreme focus and projection I have gotten from trips with a similar degree of sensory alteration. None of the little snippets of the experience breaking off and latching indelibly into my memory, burned into my mind in an odd psychedelic archive. It mostly just feels like eye candy. I am still cold and shaking a great deal, but the nausea seems to be showing signs of subsiding which is a relief.

T0:40- It feels like it’s beginning to tail off already. I notice I’m not feeling that tired ‘fried’ feeling I tend to get as psychedelics wear off- rather it feels like my brain is slowly and gently being warmed up, elevated into a more functional state. It’s not that sense of overwork and overuse, but like it is being altered to just the right temperature, just the right degree of functionality. I am getting easily and superfluously distracted- I have maybe 20 tabs of Wikipedia pages open that I am only now beginning to sort through. Flashing, pulsing, high contrast yet faint and prismatic visuals are creeping in at the corners of my vision still.

T1:00- Most of the energy has left the trip now, just leaving me with a crispy psychedelic glow, like the warmth in one’s skin after being in the sun. Everything has calmed down and the choppy waves of energy I was adrift on before have calmed down to a gentle undulating tide. Everything is more manageable, my thoughts are easy to process, I have stopped shaking as much and the nausea has all but left me. The visuals dance a gentle interplay with reality. I feel mentally stimulated like I do when I’m stoned, where my curiosity is insatiable, yet this feels sharper and cleaner. I just want to aimlessly read a bunch. Some friends are coming over in an hour.

T2:00- Some of my friends come over to hang out and play videogames. I feel slightly altered and social interaction feels awkward like it does with psychedelics. Being in the presence of other people is odd and feels difficult to navigate. The experience feels mostly like afterglow now, like the scattered remnants of what was once a great galvanic and dynamic machine. We smoke a great deal of cannabis and the trip quickly fades away below and beyond my notice, into just being stoned.

Conclusion: There were two noteworthy things about this experience. The first was how instantly and intensely painful snorting the chemical was, more so than other 2C’s I’ve dosed intranasally.  The second was how short it was- it was fast, intense, pretty uncomfortable, but passed into nothing fairly quickly. Overall it felt very standard and inconsequential, just a brief foray into psychedelia with somewhat standard visuals. The bodyload was offputting though. There was none of that cognitively stimulating afterglow that came with dosing the same chemical orally also.

Ether + Memantine ++ 3-MeO-PCE + LSD + 4-AcO-MiPT + 4-HO-MET + 2C-C

Day 1:
-10 mL Diethyl Ether
-200 mg Memantine
Day 2:
-25 mg 2C-C
-18 mg 4-AcO-MiPT
-10 mg 4-HO-MET
-12 mg 3-MeO-PCE
-75 ug LSD

            Do not do this.

Day 1:
It was a hot day in the very middle of July. I had just arrived home with a whole weekend stretched out before me in the company of one of my dearest friends and a frequent partner in crimes against sanity. He will be referred to as J. My other recurring comrade in these ventures (who I also lived with) was away for the weekend, as were my other roommates, leaving us the entire house to ourselves to see how we could painfully contort our minds.
In the fridge I had been nursing a small vial of diethyl ether for the past several months. It was pure lab-grade, as I had swiped it from my organic chemistry lab. The summer was ending and I would soon reach a hiatus in my explorations. I was desperate to round the month out with some final experiments I never had the time to do before. The Ether I had postponed for a while after reading that the smell lingers on the user for quite some time after. I had nothing to do the next few days except for more drugs, so I figured it was now or never. Another drug to add to the list, another little point of prestige on the internet, another novel experience to brag about at parties. What was I to lose?
I emptied the vial into a plastic Ziploc bag and stationed myself in a bathroom with a fan. I was originally going to indulge outside, but declined due to the intense summer heat, which I feared would evaporate all the ether and allow it to slip by me before I could wrangle it into my respiratory tract. J came into the bathroom to witness the grim spectacle of me sitting on the floor, leaning against the toilet, and inhaling vigorously from a Ziploc bag. The smell was offputting to him however and he ducked out. So I was left alone, pummeled by Kode9 playing unceremoniously off my phone, the rigid edges of the open bag wrapped around my face. Each breath was vibrantly bitter. It was not the sort of sharp and sudden acridity that makes one instantly recoil and hack and cough, rather it was a smooth poisoning that slipped down my throat like a snake covered in gasoline. It was at once sweet and repulsive, meek yet fiercely adverse to anything a person should expect to inhale without consequence. As I drew my face away for some fresh air I realized it was nowhere to be found. The ether had made a home in my face and did not seem intent on dislodging anytime soon. It squatted in my respiratory passages, tainting every breath I took with its illustrious odor. The cognitive effects were lost in the sensory cornucopia- slight head buzz, slight feeling of dissociation, slight numbness in my fingertips. All very slight. It was like being buzzed.
I left the bathroom to air out the fumes and smoked a prerolled joint in an attempt to stir the lingering dust of the experience. Not much arose from this, with the overwhelming acrid flavor of the ether camped stubbornly in my mouth. After about half an hour had passed, this was all that remained of the chemical. It seemed to have evacuated my nervous system and was content to be an irritating presence upon my senses. So much for that experience. It was still early in the afternoon and we had the entire house to ourselves until the next day. On to the next stage of debauchery.
We decided we were going to go heavy on dissociatives in full view of the voyeuristic sun for once. Dissociatives had historically for us only been taken in nighttime, when we could shelter from our experiences in the darkness- or rather let the experiences loose like a dog off of a leash, free to run their course in the fields of our minds. We figured it would be interesting in the daylight, the experience stunned from us in the shock of the sunlight, and us stunned from the experience. I decided to bestow upon him the combination of 3-MeO-PCE and 3-MeO-PCP, a path I had tread a few times before, a combination that lent itself to an intense, stormy, and unrelenting experience, suitable for the experienced dissociative traveler who wanted to swim deeper than they were used to. As for me, I chose mematine as my poison. 200 mg of it this time, a very hefty dose by most standards. My last foray with memantine was 150 mg, and this proved to be an intense experience that dragged on for 3 days.  This dose involved swallowing 20 pills at once- I highly doubt the inventor of memantine would suspect that some chump would be taking 10x the highest recommended dose of their drug.
These doses did not occur concurrently- Memantine has a notoriously long comeup, similar to any marathon hallucinogen like the DOx series, AMT, and 2C-P. J took his dose when I was a solid 2 hours into my experience. The comeup was sterile and nondescript, typical for memantine. Upon peaking, we turned the lights off, the room bathed in the grey sunlight as it filtered through our thin blinds. We both soon found ourselves up to our necks in the dissociative flood, with movement proving more difficult by the minute. We both managed to take a hit of weed from the gravity bong to really maximize our peak before indulging in our desired activity…. Sitting on the couches curled into balls with our eyes closed listening to music…. Honestly we could’ve just done this at night, it really made no difference. Nevertheless, the two of us were entirely incapacitated and content in the safety of knowing we would not be disturbed for the duration of this experience. Both of us were sinking into our respective holes, being consumed by the battering of soundwaves, the gentle teeth of the music chewing us up from all sides, that filtered grey light of the sun disintegrating and cascading onto our catatonic bodies.
Part of my experiment was to determine whether or not memantine made me feel and think of the cold just because I took it in the dead of winter. Though it was almost 90 degrees outside, I once again found myself at the mercy of winter’s spears, shards of ice piercing my bones and zapping my muscles into uncontrollable shivers. I felt raw, exposed, curled up on a dry winter night, severely underdressed, where the frost hangs in the air and the wind saps all semblance of heat. I found myself drifting amidst the same dark winter landscape as before, pillars of trees screeching into the auroral sky. Vast dark fields would interject my journey, grids and intersecting planes and the same looming spectral lo-fidelity beings that drifted this realm aimlessly. After a few hours of immobility and grey, grey stillness, of us both drowning in our respective dissociative maelstroms, our experiences let up a bit. I knew from my previous experiments with memantine that this was but a brief respite- that it would all come crashing back down with force in due time. The taste of ether still lingered on my breath, so sickeningly sweet… I was eventually stricken by an intense nausea- not the sorta twisting cramps and eager discomfort of psychedelics, but more of a soft swirling queasiness, like motion sickness. This was no doubt exacerbated by those stubborn ether fumes. I ran upstairs and purged for what would be the first of several occasions that night.
J had mostly come down. I was lucid but still cruising, still teetering on the edge. 2 friends came over- one of whom practiced music with my friend in the basement. I spent the time lounged on the couch upstairs, dreamily staring at the ceiling and the intricate suture patterns that were dancing across it, still awash in nausea and the same cold sterile dissociation. Lying down was the most comfortable position for me right now. Soon another friend came over. I managed to ignore my discomfort enough to interact with everyone. They were interested in exploring substances too so I cut them both 25 mg doses of 4-HO-DET, as it wasn’t my favorite chemical and I had plenty to dispense.
It was now about 6 hours since I had originally dosed. The rest of the night was fairly foggy and nondescript. I felt cold, I curled into a ball and fell back into the hole occasionally with liberal applications of cannabis. The trip’s intensity came in rolling waves. All of my interactions had a potent psychedelic edge combined with a dissociative fogginess that kept anything from adhering too hard to my memory, except as specters of what they once were. The taste of ether persisted in my mouth and I had to vomit several more times. My other friends seemed to have fun on their trips, save for one who didn’t feel his dose of 4-HO-DET at all. Odd. The night wound down with us playing videogames and enjoying one of the last weekends I would get to spend in the place that had been my home for 2 years, where I had had so many formative experiences and formed so many fond memories. I went to sleep as the sun was rising, my skin still numb and my equilibrium still jilted astray.

Day 2:
My first step out of bed set the mood for the whole day, the feeling like I was stepping into the deck of a rocking ship, that whatever surface my feet set upon was sitting atop undulating waves. I forget how I spent most of this day. Lazying around, cruising on my residual dissociation I suppose. It felt like the aftershowers of sparks from fireworks but drawn out for multiple days. Each crackle was a synapse going silent as the same dissociative chills crawled across my skin.
I had originally planned on stacking psychedelics onto my memantine trip. I figured it would make for an interesting combination, especially considering that my baseline state right now was just raw chemical dissociation. I decided to go with my habit of mixing up a party pill- some absurd, “carefully” chosen concoction of chemicals.  This cocktail was 25 mg 2C-C, 18 mg 4-HO-MiPT, 10 mg 4-HO-MET, 12 mg 3-MeO-PCE and 75 ug LSD combined into a single cellulose capsule. The different crystalline layers of different colors and consistencies made for a pleasing confectionary, the partial tab of LSD jammed unceremoniously into the pile. J decided to go for a trip too, something shorter- he opted for 4-HO-DET. I’m not sure what the plan was for the next few hours- the same lazing around? Who knows. I was just going to occupy the soft spaces downstairs with him.
Such was the plan.
What really happened though-
On the couch I sat unsuspecting- I had just cast the die into a divine fire, entrusted my concoction of spells to the belly of the earth and turned my back to its cacophonous prismatic fire as it screamed into the darkening sky. From that womb of jagged dissociative stillness, of cold towering spires and the paleness of death was birthed a colossus, it’s thunderous gaze like black steel trusses cast across the grey sky. It crept from its birthplace, it lumbered towards its unsuspecting summoner, it heaved and dragged itself, ruining the earth behind it, ruining time before it, its essence drifting along like creek froth caught in a riffle. Breathing, heaving, it extended a single blocky discordant appendage towards me, tapped me on the shoulder, by now I realized I had been fully drenched by its shadow.
“I think I have to go upstairs”
The colossus, the colossi, the colossal, whatever they are, unclear in number, unclear in form, unclear in collectivity – they and it ushered me up the stairs, looming spectral sentinels with ritual smog a veil over their eyes. The colossus wailed at me for hours, scrubbing my memory mostly clean the way one would scrape the fat from bone. Their shouts were nothing to the kaleidoscopic zenith spiraling above them, looming, always one thing looming over another, all gray, all a lacework of intricate vessels and conduits cast in cold concrete relief. The great sky above, those upper waters of the firmament were a testament to an even greater screaming, something deafening, something bigger, golden mycelia from the twisted infected world above seized me and the colossus rose to meet me at eye level, its gaze vivisecting me and casting my neurons aside like bycatch, cleaning and gutting me before the even greater beyond could taste me.
Like crackles of electricity, like getting whipped by braided cables, the yawning above swallowed me whole, an infinite obsidian cathedral, its buttresses glaring over me, taking me into a place where my mind was naught but a jumble of dirty wires, scrapyard refuse cut from more effective machines, and the grey grey dappled light from above shone down on it like an altar, and in the corners of that light, forms, a single form manifest as many, or maybe all of them coming together as one, nevertheless their shadow is at first speculative, but then pervasive, and soon looming. Something is always looming. And me, tangled and flocculating, twitching with clonus and feeling sick and knowing that I am on the precipice of even greater and more terrifying things.
And I think about how much deeper this can go, about what unknown beyond lies beyond this beyond, about how notions of ‘knowing’ and ‘unknowing’ would not exist in the further beyond, as the concept of even existing would be a foreign theorem to the other beyonds. I felt ensnared in rusty shredded wires, writhing on cold concrete, muck and refuse about me as the glistening rains danced on prismatic puddles catching neon lights somewhere out of view. I do not know where these wires went or where they came from, but they were always tightening, always pulling me somewhere.
Eventually I reached the point where memory, along with existence, being, knowing, breathing and feeling were dismissed as foreign ideals, outlanders to be locked out from the bunker of this, of pure thought, of a mind left to deplete itself of all those trivialities, grow deep in its chamber alone and untouched and unbothered, allowed to flourish in the pitch darkness- not the darkness of light obscured or denied from those who seek it, simply the darkness from the total absence of light, the denial of it as a concept. This young sprout, it truly had to grow as pure as it could desire. In this not-darkness, in this not-being, I was invited to have an audience with the growth, having been appropriately stripped of every fundamental of my being. A bare nervous system now before the growth, it asked me to peer into what I could see, here where light and dark did not even exist. I saw chaos, the Sisyphean cognition of fever dreams, of things going where they don’t and shouldn’t, of non-things going where the things go and should, but most horrifyingly, it kept going, beckoning deeper, a minute cavity with golden tendrils- but I could not.
This could not go further, but perhaps I would be truly lost. What would I come back to after this? I destroyed the familiar world, would I be able to adapt again? The consistent explosions of gridded color around me seemed to speak otherwise. And yet there was grounding in delusions, the clawing of tangled and incomprehensible conspiracies based in a very material reality at the edges of my being, ideas of mind control, of other entities intruding on my autonomy at its very core, of my mind being the plaything of powers beyond my comprehension.
When some functionality came about me I did some cursory reading into memantine and some dubious readings into its pharmalogical profile had me call in an abortion of the mission due to serious concerns of neurotoxicity and pervasive cognitive effects. This was likely a panic response to the unexpected intensity of the severe undoing I had just done. Something about it being an anticholinergic? Something about this being triggered by combining it with 5-HT2A agonists? I’m not sure what papers I cherrypicked to come to this conclusion. But the fear of having truly damaged my mind this time was tangible. I aborted with 5 mg Aripiprazole and 1 mg clonazepam.
As I crawled out of the craven cavity / non-cavity from where I was cast, from where that junk colossus had abandoned me, I thought to myself “why am I still doing this?”
“why am I still subjecting myself to being thrashed by non-entities? What have I learned from this? What have I learned from any of this in a while? What am I trying to achieve? Will I be able to live like this forever?”
Which led to thoughts of:
“Do I tell my parents how bad its been, under their noses, though they suspected the whole time, do I come clean about what my hobby for the past 4 years has been, but with a footnote, promise I’ll stop, risk getting disowned, break their hearts again but really come clean and start over?”
But then:
“Do I really want to stop? Where will I find the novelty and whimsy within the boundaries of my mind? This is something you’re good at, something you’re competent at that has lead to a great deal of creative and productive output- this is good for you”
It matters not what I settled on. I felt shaken, shaken by my own hubris, shaken by what lie ahead, shaken by so much uncertainty, from such a certainty of a world where certainty was not even a thing.
When I had come down a little bit I returned downstairs, now caught in the snowdrifts of a benzo fog, courtesy of the clonazepam. My mind was more gathered, I felt burnt though, raw and unstable. J was still down there, his trip mostly having passed at this point. He said it was just okay, nothing special. I was bummed that I was absent the whole time. As I came down more and more that traumatized fear was replaced by a sort of mania, I was giddy at having survived that trial, that my mind seemed to have come out mostly unscathed, that I was a person again. My roommate came home later to me babbling with a certain fear and fascination about my ‘experience’, which I had labeled as not even being an experience, but exposure to something… not even a thing but a state? Some word that doesn’t capture the non-existence of that existence. Perhaps language is not meant to address such absurd contradictions and betrayals of normal reality. J went for a snack run at some point, and being in no state to leave the house I had him get me some cranberry juice to try and wash the memantine out. J left later into the night while I pondered my future, shaken and fearful but hopeful. As the night progressed the chemicals in my cocktail fizzled out, leaving the great monolithic bedrock of memantine behind, that same cold dissociation I had woken up with, the first guest to come to the party and the last to leave. We smoked weed and hung out long into the night, each introduction of the cannabis flaring the dissociation up a bit. As the night wound down and the clonazepam demanded my attention I went to sleep.

Day 3: My job grants me 3-day weekends, a blessing. Today is recovery day. I wake up, take a step and have the same familiar feeling from yesterday. My equilibrium and balance are immediately off. I am spacy and dissociated all day, it feels the same as it did the day before, before I took all the other stuff. The clonazepam from yesterday only thickens the fog. I vaguely remember going to the corner store and buying a whole bunch more cranberry juice. Other than that, this day is lost to time. Probably smoked weed a bunch and lazed around with my roommate or alone in my room. Probably took a nap.

Day 4: I get out of bed and go to work. This is worrisome. My balance is still off kilter, I still feel like I could very easily stumble and fall if I’m not paying enough attention. I still feel spacy and distant, conversing with people proves difficult and confusing. I make it through the day without incident though and return home. I spent the rest of the night relaxing on my own, smoking, still trying to make sense of the past few days.

Day 5: I get out of bed and go to work again. This time I feel a little better, still feeling dissociated, still off balance, still spacey, still a bit numb. The feeling has passed by the time I go to bed. I awaken on the 6th day back to baseline.

This was probably the most intense trial I have subjected myself to, both for the number and intensity of the substances involved. I did not go into this thinking I was subjecting myself to a trial, it was more aimless hedonism. But I came out shocked and changed, my perspective on how I use drugs shaken to the core. I think it prepared me for taking a step back with my drug use for the following months where my living situation wasn’t conducive to it. But alas, nothing stays the same and the siren song would come calling again…

2017 in Review

Didn't even write this/post this during 2017... Fuucking up tbh..
Things slowed down a bit this year. This is partially because my living situation changed in the past few months to put me in a place where I am unable to experiment like I once did. I have more or less refrained from using hallucinogens in the past 4 months, and what little I've tasted has been familiar chemicals, all for the sake of enhancing certain experiences or social settings, and this has primarily been dissociatives. I remember a year ago vowing to use drugs as a means of augmentation of reality, as a means of introspection. But I am only able to find the time and place to use them to get high. Though it's not the conditions to blame it is myself.
Another predicament is that I have simply run out of substances to try. Some new things have become available on the market quite recently but I honestly have not been able to dedicate the time to obtaining or trying them (4-AcO-DPT, 4-MeO-MiPT, EPT, MPT, 4-HO-MPT, 4-HO-McPT... to name a few). One day maybe, I have interest in some of them. Most of the rest of the novelties in my collection however had been exhausted. All that's left are a few things that I am not entirely eager to try, just based on my research. This is because of undesirable side effects noted in most others' reports/ generally seeming uninteresting.
I am nostalgic for the days when there was so much to explore still, I am nostalgic for when I could spend a day so easily experiencing something entirely novel without leaving my house... I don't know if that feeling will ever come back. I don't adapt to change well, I don't like new things, I like the familiar routine, and for 4 years my routine has been using hallucinogens weekly.
I've met many new people this year and become involved in a lot of activities that have taken up my time but given my life new meaning. It feels difficult to juggle so many things I feel passionate about and at times it feels like some are atrophying due to insufficient attention. I'm fucking up my academic life and my future is deteriorating. Everything is so dizzyingly uncertain and the stable, familiar comfort that I subsist on has become harder and harder to come by. A great opaque void lists before me, threatening to collapse and infect my present existence at all times. I'm not sure what I even want anymore. I just want to go back to when things were full of color and wonder and when I could reliably tap into that for motivation to keep on going.

I don't find myself bothering to remember much anymore.
I think one of the oddest ways my cessation has affected me is that using hallucinogens became my standard method of keeping a sequence of events in my memory. Each experience was like a checkpoint in my memory, from which I could set other events in my memory relative to, and from there form a coherent sequence of the events in my life. This has become exceedingly difficult now and my memory of the past 4 months is nebulous and unbounded, especially with so many monotonous days spent isolated.
oh well.

Here's my ordered assessment of everything new i tasted (and more thorough assessments of some older ones I had only limited experience with).

4-AcO-MiPT
Unseated 4-HO-MiPT, an older of my favorites. A light, gentle, warm, and overall stimulating experience with luscious visuals reminiscent of tropical seas. Voluminous and vibrant, brimming with biotic energy.

Mescaline
A fantastic adornment for a summer day, it dances wonderfully with the light of the sun. Filled with profound euphoria that basks in the beauty of the world around me, and potently stimulating towards learning and cognitive pursuits. Fun and erudite.

Nitrous Oxide
The nangs are the good shit I can't believe I never did this until now this shit is a blast and mixes beautifully with everything in the most absurd ways 10/10 would nang again

DOM
An odd counterpart to mescaline that also seems to let one bask in the glory and pleasure of the world happening around them. This drug was earthy and weighty, yet lofty and surreal. Vitreous and seething with warm energy. Also lasts a nice long time, if you have a whole day to kill. It was languid and profoundly blissful and relaxing in a way quite unlike other psychedelics. Warm breath and an absolute relief.

GHB
It's like being drunk and rolling on MDMA without the bad parts of either of those drugs. It's a great deal of fun, though can be dangerous...

4-HO-EPT
A drug that begs for further exploration. My first attempt with it derailed, but it obviously had quite a lot to teach me. My limited experience with it has been fascinating and has potently unlocked esoteric reaches of the mind.

AL-LAD
A deeply nostalgic psychedelic that imparts a childlike playfullness and an impish mania. Fun all around, though it doesn't stand out too much.

4-HO-DET
A psychedelic I would describe as quite basic and standard, short and lighthearted without too much deeper introspection. Just psychedelic icing, but without the frenetic whimsy of 2C-B. Somewhat boring.

MET
Weird and okay, I have yet to break through to a truly profound experience but it's still quite fun. A little psychedelic high that can be smoked, stronger and more colorful than DALT but still mild until I up the dose and find an efficient way too consume it.

6-APB
I'm not big on empathogens. This one was the same sort of bright fog, glowing gold in the air- It was less stimmy than MDMA but stimmier than 5-APDB. Was generally a gentler experience.

PCP
Kind of boring so far. Needs more experimentation probably.

Escaline
Social and vitreous green, glowing from the inside. It is a warm experience, and wasn't as harsh on the body as was expected, save for some intense nausea on the comeup. This eventually passed, though it was a fairly nondescript drug.

3C-E
Some drugs are psychedelics with a stimulant touch. This one is a stimulant with a psychedelic touch. Fast and jarring, though fairly lucid with light patterns and psychedelic thoughts. Mostly just fast and uncomfortable though.

3-HO-PCE
Pure numbness. Barely affects the body, just completely numbs and inhibits the mind, not like drunkenness though, it's solid gray nullifying impairment of thoughts and emotions, without the delightful bodily sensations that accompany it.

Diethyl Ether
eh taste bad

2C-iP
This shit made me sick for days, it made it feel like my bladder had been stabbed, the urinary symptoms of this were a nightmare. I felt nauseous and faint the whole day after. The drug itself lasts awhile and is mildly interesting, though not nearly enough to justify what felt liike actual damage I was doing to my body. I haven't read anyone else reporting this, but that has been my experience, approach with caution.

I really miss doing this, maybe was in too deep, maybe it's inextricably embedded in me more than I thought, oh well, I lived fine with it. Living without it is different. I don't like change. It's not a sustainable way to be.

Mescaline

This is probably going to be my last post for a while. Probably.

Age: 22
Weight: 130 lbs
Dosage: 500 mg oral
Setting: The woods, train tracks, my apartment

T0:00- It is the 4th of July, American Independence Day. I am spending the day out with my friends. They have chosen 4-AcO-DMT as their poison for the day, me, Mescaline. We dose while we walk to our destination- a wooded area in my hometown. Locked away in the heart of those woods is a great old conduit tunnel, built to rout a creek under what was once train tracks. It is flanked on all sides by piles of boulders, laced with gnarled and tangled tree roots. Their branches form a dense canopy overhead so that the only light is mottled beams that spear through the dust and pollen in the air. The mouth of the tunnel is graced by a constant flow of cool air- one can take refuge by the gurgling stream that gushes forth form it, adorned on all sides by graffiti and thickets of moss, and feel like they are inside an air-conditioned room. The water empties into a rocky creek below that deflects and scatters that mottled light and diffuses it across its surface, a great vitreous sigh that is laid over our dear sanctuary. It is truly one of my favorite places in the world. Our plan was to hang out there for a bit while peaking and then take a long trek back into the city along the freight tracks.

T0:25- So far, I only feel nausea. We are pacing around the mouth of the tunnel, our base camp, bathed in cool, humid air. I decide to bring my friends up the length of the tunnel to show them where the creek enters- a great sodden chamber at the end penetrated by slivers of sunlight. The walk is slippery and pitch black, with the sunlight departing from us about 100 feet in. In the darkness, I feel as though I am picking up on faint sparks of visuals, though this may be placebo effect.

T0:35- I feel chills and I am definitely detecting light visuals now- just slight warping and alteration of my perceived surroundings. The nausea is growing as is some of the bodily discomfort. My cognition feels relatively unaffected. Physically, the only thing that feels good at this point is lying down and shaking.

T0:45- My thoughts are beginning to trail off and spawn into autonomous chains. This reminds me of a phenomenon I would notice when I was a child, where I would get lost in spontaneously generating trails of thought and would try to trace them to their origin after realizing how far my mind had wandered. Perhaps this is not a phenomenon but a common feature of cognition in general. That is something I would have to ask someone else. The visuals have picked up slightly, into a dreamy haze overlaid on the world, causing it to pulse like heat waves. Gentle and subtle patterns decorate the sky. The experience has slowly been creeping up on me, crawling into my mind like a stalking resplendent phantom perched on my shoulder, its heartbeat rippling with galvanic energy. I smoke a joint to ease the discomfort just a bit, the smoke wriggling through the air along angular trackways.

T1:10- I am lying on my back in the tunnel, the cold air passing over me like a stampede of ants- I am just in its way but it pays no mind to that, it effortlessly overcomes me. I look up at the crowns of the trees and am awestruck by the vastness between me and them- they are truly towering over me, these old beings that have steadily anchored and grown for multitudes of my own lifespan. I am overall in awe of the beauty of my surroundings, I can do little more than lie there, content and calm. The experience is still mostly felt in my body, it’s a restlessness, agitated like the nervous energy of nature’s constant march towards survival. It is lucid and calm, gently dragging me into the unsettling heart of the monumental chaos of the earth and laying me down like one would lay down a sick child. It is a feeling of love and nurturing coming from a place that seems only to claim beauty and biodiversity as its virtues. The experience thusfar is powerful, though it is anything but intense. Despite the discomfort, I am content. Chills run down my spine and through my peripheral nervous system.

T1:30- The ill feelings have mostly faded by now. I feel jovial and childish, this glassy, sun-dappled space is now my playground and I am free to run jump and play. My friends are content to explore their visuals and experiences in the glorious comfort of the tunnel, but lacking such sensory stimuli, I have decided to occupy myself with exploring the space around me. I clamber over rocks, I climb across fallen logs like balance beams, I climb the stone walls and dip my hands into the invigoratingly chilly waters of the creek. I lie in the moss, I struggle up muddy hills, I try to climb trees and gaze into all the little spaces in the tangles of roots and imagine they are like yawning caves for little insects. My body is limber and prances about with ease, I feel graceful and physically capable, with the naïve and impenetrable confidence of a child at play.

T2:00- I feel like I am tripping harder now- I am stricken with a spaciness that settles me down for a bit. I lie next to the stream and watch the millipedes creep around the cold wet concrete, the boughs of moss like dense thickets to them. We smoke another joint. This kicks up the visual effects into something recognizable now- they are geometric- blocky zigzags, odd interlocking shapes, decorated with concentric patterns. They are not the gentle gradients of color like most psychedelic visuals, rather they are random stripes of random colors, sorted in accordance to some esoteric algorithm. These adorn the sky, they take up the shapes of the leaves and the textures in the rocks into their relentless flow, they are a deluge pouring down every surface, smearing the essence of existence with them. A quick blink and a snap back to reality and they fade, they are not intrusive by any means, simply curious visitors to our world. With my eyes closed, the visuals are indistinct, but are certainly in motion- a flash of movement in the dark, droning and repetitive. Sounds have an ever so subtle reverberant tinny quality.

T2:30- We decide to begin the trek home now. Our goal is to meet up with a bunch of friends who are having an outdoor party in a park down near where the tracks enter the city. We trudge through dense undergrowth and come out to the grand cathedral- a towering highway overpass, its pillars alight with vibrant blazes of graffiti. The only sound is the deafening roar of cars rumbling overhead. The light of the sun coming down in beams onto the dusty ground below. It’s an eerie calm that exists at the edges of humanity, still touched by its pollution and disorder, yet peaceful and desolate. We start hiking back along the train tracks under the relentless beatdown of the midsummer sun, the railroad ballast digging into our feet. This too is eerily quiet, the only sound being the crunching of the jagged little stones under our footsteps. To one side of us is the backs of buildings, empty lots and neglected warehouses, to the other is a densely overgrown embankment. It’s the wrath of nature striking back at the fringes of human incursion, furiously reclaiming every bit of space it can. Along the way we find prizes- the skeletons of animals struck by trains. I find an entire articulated deer spine and carry it with me for the remainder of the day, along with several skulls from various animals. The sky spreads out over us, vast and powerful, the plants grasp at us from the sides, and muddy puddles and secret pools languish to the sides of the tracks, begging for our attention like a siren song. Nevertheless, we decide not to deviate from our path.

T3:20- One of my friends has decided he’s had enough and decides he wants to go home. I find a place to break off that may bring us back to civilization so I can call him a ride. There was an illusion of seclusion although we have been so close to accessible civilization this whole time. Yet even then, the sense of seclusion comes from being hidden away amongst all the hustle and bustle of human activity, the way an insect may feel hiding amongst garbage in a busy population center. It’s a feeling of being on the fringes, of being present but just out of reach. The exit point I find comes out to a farm with horses… not something I was expecting in the city. It’s eerily silent, and the golden afternoon light parading down just punctuates this sense of surreality. We exit the ranch to find a completely empty road with no one around- have we entered the twilight zone? It turns out the road was just closed because of the holiday. I escort my friend to somewhere he can navigate from then trace my steps back and meet up again with my other friends to continue our journey.

T3:40- We reach a bridge over the river, a massive and sturdy stone bridge with walkways on the side next to the tracks. We pause here and look out over the city-it is the golden hour where everything is drenched in amber light. Ominous clouds loom in the distance. The entire undulating skyscape burns with vibrant rainbow colors, pulsing and breathing, a reminder that I am indeed still tripping. I sit down and it strikes me how altered I still am as the concrete wall across from me swirls and dances with the same angular patterns as before. A train passes and the conductor gives us a sharp glare. We decide to move on. At last we come to familiar territory, the same train tracks running by the same wooded park mentioned in several other reports. The clouds have crawled over the sun and the dense canopies lunging out above us cast us in a downpour of shade. Immediately the essence of our exploration has changed, from the exposed sunbaked place we were earlier to the dour shade of the deep green trees now. It’s not somber, but it’s a feeling of being welcomed home, welcomed into haze and shade.

T4:30- At last we reach the park where there is a little picnic with my friends going on. I am dirty and sweaty and have been walking around in public carrying a deer spine crusted with little bits of meat, along with a skull and some jawbones. We go up to the party and at once I find myself flustered, having a difficult time socializing. I am dissociated- it feels like a scene out of a movie. Everything is grainy and distant, I am emotionally detached from everything and everyone. I spend most of the time sitting off to the side with the people I came with, not interacting much with the others there. I don’t feel bad about it, nor do I feel uncomfortable, I just don’t feel social in the least. It begins to rain and everyone starts to pack up. They invite us to join them at a house, but we decline and decide to set out for home instead. We call a ride and the journey home is wild- despite the pouring rain there are people setting off fireworks in the street all over, the car having to drive through thick curtains of smoke and showers of sparks. The crackles and pops around us sound like a warzone and the rain smothers the smoke against the earth, letting it linger as a dense haze over the city. The ride back is jovial and pleasant, the driver is cracking jokes and one liners the whole time. She’s sweet and funny and says she’s going to just go home and relax after this ride, just as we are. It instills a sense of coziness across all of us.

T5:45- We arrive home. It’s dark now. We settle in and smoke a blunt. My friends go out to get food while I remain inside with my roommate listening to music. Music appreciation is certainly heightened, I feel an intense sense of euphoria and calm, like I am in exactly the right place at the right time. I banter with my roommate, my words fluid and articulate. I feel like I have ascended to a purer form, diaphanous and glistening, sheathed in gossamer and bristling with tranquil energy. The same rivers of gentle visuals flow around me, parting around my form and embracing it like wind whistling around the edge of a blade. The ceiling breathes and pulses, the world is alive around me and I am alive within it. I close my eyes and sink into the music, savoring every note, every strum of vocal cords and guitar strings, everything is placed so perfectly and carefully.

T10:00- The past few hours have been up in smoke- a euphoric and hedonistic haze spent amongst some of my closest friends as we savored the degenerate days of our youth. I don’t even recall what we did exactly, probably just played super smash bros and watched The Simpsons for a few hours, inundating ourselves with storm surges of cannabis smoke. The rains continued on and off all night, a gentle pitter patter on the windows. This was punctuated by the sound of explosions, crackles, pops and whistles throughout the night, every few seconds, as people indulged in the annual excuse to set off explosives in public. It made for a delightful and jovial atmosphere of revelry and vitality that permeated the walls of our house and crept into our own euphoria. At this point people have gone to bed and I am alone in my room. Smoking one last big hit from the gravity bong, I find the experience has been defibrillated, jolted back to life like throwing gasoline onto smoldering embers. Writhing and chaotic visuals explode in my face and tangle around one another, as if the last vestiges of the trip were trapped in a bubble that burst under the pressure. A great calm washes over my mind, followed by a creeping electric energy, buzzing through my neurons like currents through jumper cables. I suddenly find myself reading- ravenously. I want to learn so much, I want to expand my mind so much, I want to take in as much information as possible. Everything, absolutely everything, is fascinating now, there is so much to learn and I want to greedily devour it all. I stay up several hours later than I intend- no good because I have to get up for work the next day… This would certainly be useful to experiment with in the future however, as a learning aid.

T14:00- I go to sleep finally. I am groggy and out of it the whole next day and my body feels tired. I nap the rest of the day after work.

Conclusion: This is a magical substance- it is intricate and complex, with odd little surprises hiding in all of its secret places. Despite a dose of 500 mg I feel like I only got a little taste of it’s true potential. It was expensive and hard to come upon unfortunately, hindering further experimentation. I would love to be taken on a voyage by this one. From what I got here, it is a stimulating drug that filled me with childish energy, a desire to learn and explore that is normally suppressed by the everyday responsibilities of life. The cognitive effects were gentle, welcoming, and harmonious, allowing me to explore the drug and the world altered by it at my own pace, on my own terms. Sensory effects were mild, nothing about them was particularly noteworthy or spectacular, though they felt perfectly enmeshed with the rest of the experience. The nature of this drug seems to be harmony- a sense that everything is exactly as it should be, that everything is exactly where it should be. It’s the beautiful naivety of youth, manifest as resplendent color and energy. The euphoria and cognitive enhancement felt quite unique too in the sense that it wasn’t forceful or some artificial overlay, but rather that it was awakening some latent potential already present inside of me. Indeed it left me wanting to explore, learn, pursue- at the tail end everything was fascinating and I wanted to learn and explore everything. Perhaps one day our paths will cross again.

DOM

This is long overdue I had this experience like 2 months ago.... I wrote physical notes for it because it was mostly spent out of the house and I kept losing them... very inconvenient. I wonder if I've lost my touch after all this time of inactivity. Oh well... Still have one maybe two more reports pending.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Age: 21
Weight: 125 lbs
Dosage: 10 mg sublingual
Setting: The woods, my apartment

T0:00- I woke up feeling a bit odd from a dissociative binge the day before, a roiling combination of PCP, 3-MeO-PCP and 3-MeO-PCE, consolation for a bad day before. This has mostly worn off by the time we dose though. We decide we’re all going to go out on an adventure. I’m finally going to bring other people to my favorite tripping spot – The beautiful park and woods that are connected to the freight tracks. They are all tripping too, all on 4-AcO-DMT. I decide I am going to dose now, before we leave, as the DOx drugs are notorious for their long comeup. The tabs are so bitter that I almost throw up, it’s a stinging unpleasantness that reflexively makes me want to purge the poison from my body. I let the tabs sit against my gums and choke the toxin into my bloodstream.

T0:40- We are on the bus now, en route to our destination. I begin to feel the onset- a light warmth radiating slowly from my core.

T1:20- At last we have reached our destination. We are hanging around some large fire pits that people built in the woods. My friends have dosed now and are beginning to feel the onset of their respective substances while I’m on the long and steady comeup of mine. I’m stricken with a slight nausea and a visceral discomfort that has me frantically alternating between lying still and pacing around in an attempt to alleviate it. In my skin I feel a weird, sterile, hot dissociation.

T1:40- Feeling stimmy- I have decided my course for the indefinite future will be pacing, as I am awash with hot energy. There is a much more marked discomfort in my guts- not even nausea but an odd sort of twisting pain. Mentally, I feel a bit of stimulated apprehension for what may prove to be an intense trip. I am plummeting into what is potentially a vigorous and dynamic storm.

T2:00- That anxiety ends up being unfounded, as the comeup proves itself to be continuously gentle and gradual, a slow climb up a shallow incline. It is like slowly lowering myself into a warm pool. No visuals to speak of yet, just this continuing sense of warmth in my body.

T2:40- We have walked to our new destination- a little swamp some ways down the train tracks. I feel jovial, joking with my friends as they come up on their substances. I feel like I am reaching the top of this incline, peaking over the edge at the long plateau this drug is known for. The bodyload has mostly left me at this point, leaving only the glory of the trip to behold ahead of me. The clouds have broken and the sun is beaming through. The earlier fears about its intensity seem unfounded- the curtains of discomfort have been breached and it has extended a hand to gently lead me into the rest of the experience, a soft and comfortable place.

T3:00- I am tripping harder now. We’re sitting on a bank by the pond and laughing and joking and smoking weed. The trip mostly feels cognitive- I am experiencing everything in an accelerated and mindful manner, existing purely in the present. It is at once alien and blissful. The visuals have made themselves apparent now, as subtle alterations and patterns, though they are still somewhat light and indistinct.

T3:30- A great swell of tranquility has washed over me. My limbs are adrift like handfuls of iridescent dust thrown into a soft breeze. The summer air that settled like a blanket over the little pond has been stirred into tender swirls and currents that enshrine my limbs and hold me aloft. I float along hazily and ascend a tree limb that reaches out over the water bathed in the emerald green light reflecting off the abundant duckweed below. Lying on this limb, I am enveloped in the most immaculate comfort, as if this tree was made to perfectly fit the contours of my body, or vice versa. My existence is adorned by the golden sunlight rocketing down from the glorious sky, imparting the eggshell clouds with a painterly quality. The fluttering and harmonious songs of birds dance between the blossoming and breathing trees and swathes of insects dance on the surface of the water, catching the rays of the sun and glowing like strings of Christmas lights. I close my eyes and sink into the world breathing and living around me, I become enveloped in its vitality and the respiration of every life form around me.
Radiating patterns swirl from the center of my vision, composed of triangles and glowing, pulsing lanes between them. These patterns are not particularly colorful or vibrant, rather they are neutral and earthy, a reflection of the deep earthiness I feel crawling up the tree branch like ivy and creeping into my core. Nature truly is not blissful or harmonious in any human sense- it is a cacophony of species destroying one another to survive, it is efficiency and brutality and perpetual fear for one’s own life. But there is beauty in that- beauty in how well adapted each organism is for its specific mode of survival, beauty in the way that some species depend on overcoming that, tranquility in knowing that every species is doing exactly as it is supposed to. It’s a feeling of acceptance that cannot be overcome, it’s the stoic and unrelenting harmony of nature. I feel grateful to be able to sink into it, to know how much life comes from so much suffering. The warmth of the sun, the fuel of this great chaotic and concordant engine, tickles my skin, lends its energy to my cells. I can only breathe in and out deeply, despite the earlier speediness I am entirely still, I sigh as a great warm smile stretches across my face- there is no place I would rather be than right here, right now.

T4:40- We have steadily been running out of water. We brought a foolishly small amount with us. It is an incredibly hot summer day and the relentless beatdown of the sun in addition to our constant sweating has made us realize that we must retreat back to civilization soon. The others with me seem to be enjoying their experiences but they too have grown weary. One of them has become quite pale. We begin the trudge back to familiar territory. The entirety of the experience thus far has been very outrospective, I am not considering myself much, I am not anchored in my own thoughts and emotions. Rather it is flighty consideration of my surroundings, of the context I exist in and all of the moving and interlocking parts that compose my daily experiences. This is a good drug for appreciating the world.

T5:20- At last, we have returned to a populated area. The visual effects of the trip are still relatively minor, beyond the world appearing like it’s being bathed in some holy golden light. We walk along the jogging trail, passing swathes of strangers. I do not feel uncomfortable around them in the least, even volunteering to take a picture of a family that was struggling to attempt a selfie. We pause next to the river and gaze out over the rippling surface of the water for some time. We are all so peaceful in this moment, subject to the beauty of the sun and the sky and the water, the beauty of so many people out enjoying themselves on such a glorious day, the beauty of the trees in full bloom and the clouds drifting lazily above and the city catching the sun’s light just down the trail. It’s such a wondrous moment and I am grateful that I got to be there with these people who I loved so much. We eventually continue walking, joking and laughing and talking the whole way, people watching and in general just taking in the sights and sounds around us. We miraculously come upon a person selling cold water bottles, truly our savior.

T6:15- We have reached the center of the city now. I dip my bandana in a fountain to cool off and we collectively decide to walk the rest of the way home. The great sun still graces us with its blossoming presence as we continue our walk and take pleasure in each other’s company, picking mulberries from the trees. The feeling of being in exactly the right place still pervades.

T7:00- We arrive home at last. One of my friends leaves to go back to his house because he has things to do later in the day. The rest of us lounge around and smoke a blunt. I am lying on my couch- I don’t think I have ever felt this comfortable. I sink into the cushions and they sink into me as the trip returns to a higher gear. My friends go out to get food, leaving me alone to take in the renewed experience. I stare at the ceiling and am greeted by a great, pointy, radiating floral pattern, adorned by overlapping scales at its outer edges, the entire array of forms pulsing with pastel colors. The entire room appears hazy as these patterns dance and swirl above me, a lazy geometric ballet above my head, swimming in the summer heat. The hot breath of the mysterious forms cascades onto me like a warm rain, or the drool of some esoteric being. I am encapsulated by bliss, I sigh as even the shaking in my limbs feels calm and harmonious. I feel faint and foggy and it’s just fantastic. I am so glad I have such a nice comfortable place to shelter in, with air conditioning and the sort of lived-in mess that fills me with such deep feelings of comfort and belonging.

T13:00- I intended to go to sleep around now, but to no avail. I have been staying up, suddenly finding myself wishing to passionately pursue all variety of tasks, including making myself food. It’s about 4 am now and I want to do everything, it’s the second wind to end all second winds. The visuals have seemingly been dying down but kick back up whenever I smoke weed. I keep distracting myself well into the morning.

T16:00- Lying down and trying to sleep seems to kick things up even further, as I am now devoid of distractions. The trip sputters and leaks into my perception, an expression of relentlessly lingering psychedelic energy. Nonetheless, I don’t feel anxious or stressed in the least, rather this feeling is immaculately pleasant, I am overjoyed to be experiencing this still. I’m glad I have no obligations until late in the afternoon the next day. I’m not sure when or how, but I eventually fall asleep.
I woke up the next day feeling groggy and worn out, likely from all the walking with very little food.

Conclusion: Serenity, Tranquility, Peace, is certainly a fitting nickname for this substance. This is absolutely one of the most gentle psychedelics I have tasted, save for some bumpiness on the comeup. It’s a calm, peaceful, and harmonious experience that made me feel jubilant to just exist in the world. I didn’t find it particularly introspective, rather it made me ruminate blissfully on my surroundings throughout. The physical feelings of comfort were unmatched by anything else. It was quite euphoric and lacked the nervous stimulation of other phenethylamines- particularly odd for being a substituted amphetamine. The only intense aspect of it was the inesity of the serene bliss it induced, and the long sputtering duration. I’m curious as to how this pushed so many hippies into freaking out way back when, aside from the length. I would certainly be interested in pushing it at higher doses to see just what the boundaries of this tranquility are- to see if the energy changes way beyond the borders of what I experienced. If only it was easier to acquire….
